About Carla's Candies
Carla's Candies is a home-based company and a true labor of love. For years Carla Armstrong, founder and proprietor, has been making homemade candies for family and friends in the Central Ohio area. Now these special treats can be shared with your family and friends, anyone who truly wants a delicious but unique experience.
Deeply rooted in family tradition, Carla learned to make candy with old fashioned but true favorites such as peanut brittle, turtles, chocolate covered pretzels, peppermint bark, buckeyes and traditional bon-bons. Looking to grow their candy offerings, Carla and her husband Rob wanted to expand the business to include items that were not being offered any where else, confections that were unique but delicious. Thus, the infamous Chocolate Flight line was launched. A specialty item made with melt-in-your-mouth chocolate, creamy centers flavored with the finest liqueurs.
There is great debate among Carla's customers on whether the turtles (made with homemade caramel from scratch), buttery peanut brittle or chocolate covered cherries are the favorite items. The most popular item currently is the Chocolate Covered Cherries made with plump juicy cherries with a creamy flavored center smothered in milk chocolate or the infamous Kentucky Kordials made with rich dark chocolate and a cherry that has been soaked in Makers Mark Bourbon.
Each piece of candy is hand crafted and home produced. There is quality and pride in every bite. Our candy has not been sitting on a store shelf for months, its made locally and it's fresh. Try it! I'm sure you'll agree!
